Xmas in Chicago

We celebrated Xmas and New Years in Chicago. Juneau got to play in snow and meet his cousins Flora and Kevin from Iowa. He got a ton of presents, including a bright red Tonka truck, a basketball hoop, a portable dvd player, pickup truck, toddler proof bowl, and much more.

Juneau gets to see his cousin Ian for a short bit.... He doesn't know it, but Ian was around the whole summer before Juneau was born, and cooked quite a few protein rich for J and J

Juneau's first job

Juneau booked a job modeling for Osh Kosh's catazine. We just saw it come out on the internet, and it's hilarious. He is wearing Captain Awesome and is so blond, that I didn't even recognize him. It wasn't a bad experience. We spent two days in Santa Barbara (first day was hazy) and he ran around in a field with his new friend, Faith, who turns out to be the daughter of an actor named Tommy "Tiny" Lister. The crew was really nice, and Juneau had a ton of fun.

He has since done a couple other things. He was an extra in a diapers.com commercial, and posed for product packaging for Munchkin.com's security gate (extra wide/extra long). We'll wait til August to see if he was picked for that one.

15 mo. checkup

Juneau visited Dr. T today and measured 31" (45%), weighted 20.4 lb (3%), and his head was at 18.5" (43%). Still working on putting some weight on him, but it's hard. I wish I had such problems.

toddler times

Juneau is really walking now. He was still kind of crawling/walking, but now he is toddling about and looks less like a baby and more like a toddler. He started daycare again on Monday and is mostly in the toddler room. He seems to enjoy it a lot more - actually playing with friends, sleeping on a cot, and eating real food. Each day this week, he walks even better - still a bit frankenstein ish... but it's cute.

Walking

Juneau has been pseudo-walking for a while now. Today he seems to be really comfortable with it. He took his first 2-3 steps on his birthday, then on Mike's bday decided to start taking steps on his own, then twenty steps a few days later, and today... he's got it down.

Back to the Beach

After our roadtrip... Ron and Carolyn hung out in Dana Point to get some sun, surf and relaxation - oh and celebrated the Juneau and Mike's bdays

Juneau had his third birthday celebration at Doheny Beach in conjunction with his Daddy's bday. Ron and Carolyn, Buortaul and Shintau, were all able to come, along with plenty of great freinds. Thanks to all for making it such a special day!

11 months

Juneau is growing up so fast! His most notable development is that his hair continues to get longer (and bigger and lighter) with every day. He is able to stand for a few seconds but hasn't started taking steps yet. He is quite a fast crawler!

Juneau finally got a tooth - he was pretty grumpy in the night, and then by morning, Dad happened to notice his new pearly white.

Juneau is now a pretty competent crawler, and he's tearing up the house. We have to clean the floors often because Niko is shedding. We need to babyproof now!

The doctor gave us the go ahead to start Juneau on solids at six months - he seems to be liking it a bit more every day. Here's a pic from one of the first tries.

6 months

Juneau had his six month appt today. He is doing well and Dr. T says he is a very happy/lively baby. He is 16 lb 1 oz (25th %) and 26" (50%) long, and his head measures 17" (25th%). Well this is a flip flop from last time. We need to work on fattening him up.
